✨ Age Calculator ✨

Pick your date of birth (DD / MM / YYYY)
Method: common western system (age increases on birthday). Months counted from day to same day next month.
Note: This calculator uses the most common western method. For end-of-month cases it treats a month as the interval from day N of one month to day N of the next month — e.g. Feb 28 → Mar 28 = 1 month.

Age Calculator : Understanding How Age is Calculated

This calculator uses the most common international age system, where your age increases on your birthday.

How It Works:

  • Your age is the number of full years you have lived.

  • Your age increases by one on the anniversary of your birth.

  • Example: A person who is 3 years and 11 months old has an age of 3. They will turn 4 on their next birthday.

A Note on Different Cultures:
Other cultures calculate age differently. For instance, in one traditional Chinese system, a person is born at age 1, and everyone’s age increases on the Chinese New Year.

Calculating Months and Days:
When calculating the time between two dates, we count from a specific day in one month to the same day in the next.
Example: From February 20 to March 20 is exactly one month.

This method can sometimes be confusing at the end of months with different lengths (e.g., from Feb 28 to Mar 31). In these cases, our calculator provides the most consistent result by counting the full month from the start date.
